Mobile personal emergency device Life-Tel 1 Plus has been developed especially for protection of employees that work in danger areas and single-user workstations. Due to the accident prevention regulation BGR 139 entrepreneurs are under obligation to protect such employees with personal emergency systems, so that aid measures can be taken in an emergency.

Life-Tel 1 Plus as a personal emergency device meets all requirements due to BGR 139 and is used as a full-fledged Personal Emergency System (PNA 11).

 

Protection of employees in office work places resp. in the case of quiet activities

Life-Tel 1 Plus can be placed on the upper arm of the respective person and it sets an alarm off, if an accident happens. This happens, even if the person isn’t able to do it himself/herself (unintended alarm). For an active (deliberative) alarm Life-Tel 1 Plus is ready at any time.

By means of sensitive sensors Life-Tel 1 Plus protects reliable also employees with quiet activities e.g. computer display in the case of display work stations.

Emergency button SOS

Life-Tel 1 Plus is equipped with a red emergency button. In an emergency the user can immediately send out an alarm to three pre-programmed numbers by means of a simple touch of a button. Alarm takes place as a phone call and/or SMS.

Position alarm

Life-Tel 1 Plus monitors the position of the device by means of a position sensor. Life-Tel 1 Plus sets off a pre-alarm in the case of deviation from the set position by more than 45 grades within a defined period. If within the period of the pre-alarm the person won’t return to the set angle range (because of unconsciousness), Life-Tel 1 Plus sets off an alarm and informs pre-programmed numbers per SMS and/or phone call.

Silence alarm/ Dead man’s switch

Life-Tel 1 Plus monitors, whether the user is in motion. If there will be no movement perceptible after a defined time, because the person is incapable of acting, the device sets an alarm off. It is perceptible visually and acoustically. If there follows no further motion, the alarm will be set off definitely and Life-Tel 1 Plus informs telephone numbers set before per SMS and/or phone call.

Time alarm

In the case of the time alarm the device makes its presence felt visually by blinking of big buttons and by an acoustic signal. It happens either at fixed defined times or at time intervals (e.g. every 15 minutes). If the user presses a button then, he/she signalises this way: “I’m doing well”. In the case of a lack of confirmation, Life-Tel 1 Plus sets off an alarm and informs telephone numbers set before per SMS and/or phone call.

Escape alarm

In the case of the escape in hectic motions the alarm will be set off also and Life-Tel 1 Plus informs telephone numbers set before per SMS and/or phone call.

Fall alarm

Alternative to Escape alarm – if an escape alarm is not expected at work, but the risk of falls is significantly high, the alarm is used in case of a fall as an alternative.

Loss alarm

In the case of the loss or removal of the device from the armband Life-Tel 1 Plus sets an alarm off and informs telephone numbers set before per SMS and/or phone call.

Technical alarm

For the purpose of monitoring of the operative readiness and readiness for use Life-Tel 1 Plus is equipped with many technical alarm functions. At the same time are monitored the battery capacity, GSM reception, GPS reception and the sensor. In the case of falling below of one limit or sensor disorder the technical alarm will be set off and Life-Tel 1 Plus informs telephone numbers set before per SMS.

Telephone function

By means of the button 3 it is always possible to call already saved telephone number (e.g. an emergency call centre, relatives, minder) at the press of a button.

Individually combined alarm functions

All alarm functions can be activated resp. combined individually, so that you can adjust Life-Tel 1 Plus to your individual needs and particular circumstances. You can also set reaction time in the case of silence alarm and time alarm individually.

Delivery condition

In the delivery condition the above mentioned alarm functions are set due to requirements for use of personal emergency systems (BGR 139 – 3.4.2).

Safety-relevant requirements

a) For the purpose of an optimal monitoring of the person the defined person must receive alarm messages without any downtimes.

b) In an emergency suitable measures must be taken immediately!

Notes

If the individual workplace in production and are thus made very strong ambient noise, it is advisable to choose a device with an additional vibration motor (Life-Tel 1 Plus-M). In addition, to further support a sleeve pocket with Blinking LED (101-124) could be used.
